Race Navigator PRO – designed for motorsport professionals
The RN PRO is an autonomous, modularly-built system. It has been designed specifically for motorsports and offers a variety of options. Extremely flexible and easy to handle, it sets a new standard in video- and data analysis in racing. The possibility to connect up to four cameras, two different displays and a large selection of mounts and configurations make the RN PRO the most versatile Race Navigator system.
RN PRO Racing Bundle
With this pre-configured RN PRO Racing Bundle, you get everything you need to use your RN PRO right out of the box. The Racing Bundle allows the flexible use of the RN PRO in professional motorsports. The main unit and WiFi dashboard can be mounted independently in the vehicle. All cameras are supplied with 3m cables and cage mounts, allowing the cameras to be mounted freely in the vehicle.
The RN PRO Racing Bundle is ideal for professional motorsport. For the fast mounting of the RN PRO at trackdays and street legal cars we recommend the RN PRO Trackday Bundle.
The RN PRO Racing Bundle is available in two memory versions (128 GB or 256 GB). Additionally one HD and one Full-HD version of the bundle are available:
- HD: Two included HD cameras ensure razor-sharp images of the driver and track.
- Full-HD: One Full-HD camera guarantees even higher resolution for track shots. The second camera is a VGA camera, which can be used for cockpit recordings, for example.
Please note: This bundle is a pre-configured set that contains all necessary components to use the RN PRO immediately, out of the box. If you require an individual configuration for your application, please contact our customer service - we will be happy to assist.

Does the RN PRO have an integrated battery?
Yes, the device is equipped with an integrated battery with a battery runtime of about 15 minutes. The battery’s purpose is to ensure continuous video processing even after an incident and bridging short gaps in power supply. For example, it keeps the device powered in case that the external power supply from the car fails as the result of an accident.
The battery is not meant to power the RN PRO continuously during use. The device must be connected to an external power supply when in use.
When is the RN PRO’s internal memory full?
If the remaining recording capacity is less than one hour, the system shows a warning on the upper tool bar. The symbol is a yellow triangle with an exclamation mark in the middle. The remaining recording capacity can be checked by selecting SETTINGS -> RN DEVICE -> STATUS on your display.
Is it possible to upgrade the RN PRO’s internal memory?
Yes, the RN PRO can be upgraded from 128GB to 256GB. In order to do this the device must be sent in to our RN Support.
How many cameras can be connected to the RN PRO?
The RN PRO can be equipped with up to four cameras.
The camera view seems to be rotated by 180 degrees.
If the cameras are mounted in a hanging position (thread is facing upwards), the software allows to rotate the camera view. In order to do so, choose SETTINGS -> CAMERA on the display. Select the respective camera and check the option FLIP. The camera view will rotate by 180°.
I cannot turn on my RN PRO.
Please check the external power supply. When in doubt, start your engine. If the power supply is working correctly, the green LED on the cigarette lighter plug will light up, indicating that the device is provided with 12V voltage supply. The RN PRO can be turned on by holding the ON/OFF button at the side for two seconds.
In case of extreme exposure to sunlight, the RN PRO’s temperature may significantly increase. In this case, a built-in safety mechanism will shut down the RN PRO to protect it from thermal damage. This will prevent the RN PRO from being turned on again manually. In case of overheating, it is necessary to detach the RN PRO and remove it from direct sunlight in order to allow it to cool down. After a short time, the device can be turned on again while connected to an external power supply.
After the intro movie, the starting screen appears and the device is ready for use. Additionally, the home button on the top of the device will flash green during the booting process. If the button shows a constant green light, the system is ready for use.
My RN PRO cannot find a GPS signal.
- Please check if the external GPS antenna is connected correctly to the device. The union nut at the connection port must be firmly tightened.
- Please check the cable routing and see if the cable is bend or damaged.
- Please check the attachment of the GPS antenna. As a principle, we recommend to mount the antenna on the outside of the car, on the roof. The antenna has an integrated magnetic base.
- It may also help to disconnect and reconnect the plug connection and/or to restart the system.
