The compact Race Navigator

The RN LITE offers track day and RCN drivers many functions of the full RN systems and is equally easy to use. With one camera for cockpit or track recording, the RN LITE renders videos in HD quality and records all relevant driving data. The data analysis is performed intuitively on the RN LITE or after data transmission to your iPad or Windows Computer via Wi-Fi. 64 GB of internal storage offer enough space for many lap recordings.

The RN LITE Trackday Version is ideally suited for use during trackdays and in street legal cars. Thanks to the included suction mount, you can quickly install the RN LITE behind your car’s windshield. If you want to use the RN LITE at professional race events, you may also consider the RN LITE Racing Version.

Differences between RN LITE and RN ONE/RN PRO

The RN LITE has many functions of the full RN systems. However, a main difference is that in the RN LITE, lap videos are exported without data overlay (display of speed, rpm, position and other data). The data overlay for lap videos is only available on the RN ONE and RN PRO. Another difference is that the RN LITE has only one camera without the option to attach additional cameras.

Does the RN LITE have an integrated battery?

Yes, the device is equipped with an integrated battery. The battery’s purpose is to ensure continuous video processing even after an incident and bridging short gaps in power supply. For example, it keeps the device powered in case that the external power supply from the car fails as the result of an accident. The battery is not meant to power the RN LITE continuously during use. The device must be connected to an external power supply when in use.

When is the RN LITE’s internal memory full?

If the remaining recording capacity is less than one hour, the system shows a warning on the upper tool bar. The symbol is a yellow triangle with an exclamation mark in the middle. The remaining recording capacity can be checked by selecting SETTINGS -> RN DEVICE -> STATUS on your display.

Is it possible to upgrade the RN LITE’s internal memory?

No, the RN LITE is only available with a fixed memory of 64GB.

Is it possible to attach additional cameras to the RN LITE?

No, the RN LITE can only be equipped with one camera.

My RN LITE cannot find a GPS signal

1. Please check if the external GPS antenna is connected correctly to the device. The union nut at the connection port must be firmly tightened.
2. Please check the cable routing and see if the cable is bend or damaged.
3. Please check the attachment of the GPS antenna. As a principle, we recommend to mount the antenna on the outside of the car, on the roof. The antenna has an integrated magnetic base.
4. It may also help to disconnect and reconnect the plug connection and/or to restart the system.

I cannot turn on my RN LITE

1. Please check the external power supply. When in doubt, start your engine. If the power supply is working correctly, the green LED on the cigarette lighter plug will light up, indicating that the device is provided with 12V voltage supply.
2. In case of extreme exposure to sunlight, the RN LITE’s temperature may significantly increase. In this case, a built-in safety mechanism will shut down the RN LITE to protect it from thermal damage. This will prevent the RN LITE from being turned on again manually. In case of overheating, it is necessary to detach the RN LITE and remove it from direct sunlight in order to allow it to cool down. After a short time, the device can be turned on again while connected to an external power supply.

If connected to an external power supply, the RN LITE starts automatically. After the intro movie, the starting screen appears and the device is ready for use.
